Ives Barceló - Máquina Eterna

Paul Ives Barceló Cruz, an upcoming artist from Salina Cruz, Oaxaca and based In Cholula, Puebla, brings us his debut and most expected Ep «Máquina Eterna». Ives makes an interesting approach in his home label with a total different sound in each one of his tracks. This work is a result of an uncertain confinement time. The content of this material have two original tracks and two intense remixes with the very own Undefined Pattern's style.

The sounds which compose «Máquina Eterna» range among what could be Electro-Industrial, defining feelings of desperation and inquisitiveness that consumed Ives' will throughout pandemic days.
This work is composed by a variety of influences, such as Death metal, outstanding fast and distorted sounds, making a raw and heavy perception in each track's ambiance.

The first track is the Ep's homonymous which develops in a sequence of industrial metallic and deep sounds, drilling synths with a psychedelic fine touch.
Titled as "Toma De Poder" the second track is influenced by the sinister outlook of resistance and conflict in today's Mexico society. Adding a vocal with a sense of political speech and a bass line that blends into a dark atmosphere of desolation throughout the whole track.

Are we destined to prevail united man and machine? «Máquina Eterna» is reborn in two different versions by producer Fernando V. a.k.a Undefined Pattern preserving the harshness and darkness that the original track precedes, the first remix giving us a more raw, dystopian version, with a resonant bassline, always keeping the same melodic line. Six minutes of a journey into the look of the technological future.

For the second remix things speed up and take a rougher turn. Dissonant and distorted drums, changing melodies and sound textures are part of the ingredients of the dub mix. Ideal for late peak nights…
